ABOUT: The Bespoke Merino was sheep created in collaboration with Huntsman, Savile Row, London, for Wool Week UK 2015. Made in response to The Campaign for Wool, led by patron His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to raise awareness about the beauty and versatility of wool. The 1.2 metre canvas is assembled using 1000's of bespoke Huntsman labels & dressmaker pins.

With special thanks to the 450 BBC Get Creative participants, including the Wollaton branch of the W.I. for stitching 100 WOOLMARK labels with Merino wool to celebrate the 100-year birthday of The National Federation of Women’s Institutes.

Huntsman had a piece commissioned by the fine artist, Joy Pitts displayed in the frontage of No. 11 in the form of a brightly-colored sheep, patterned in pain staking fashion using a combination of Huntsman and Woolmark Labels (100 labels stitched by Woolaton branch of the WI with Merino wool to celebrate the WI centenary) with the help of 450 BBC Get Creative participants...... Work in progress for Savile Row Field Day - 5th October 2015

The Campaign for Wool, led by patron, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, are bringing the sheep pasture back to Savile Row in October 2015. I am assembling a Merino Sheep to celebrate UK Wool Week in partnership with tailoring house Huntsman, 11 Savile Row. The 1.3 metre canvas will be displayed as part of the celebration to showcase the beauty and versatility of wool. The work in progress will be posted here and on twitter @JoyPitts11.
