Creative Community Day
Nottingham Trent University have invited me to run a workshop at the following event, please drop in if you would like to sew a label(s) for the background of my next portrait. 200 labels were completed at The Lace Market Gallery in April, another 250 are needed before work can commence on the canvas.

NOTE: Located behind the Theatre Royal, in the Newton Building, the main reception is on Goldsmith Street (where the tram runs), then you need to make your way downstairs.

BBC Get Creative Workshop 27th April 2015
We certainly 'Got Creative' at Lace Market Gallery and completed a massive 200 labels for the background of my next portrait. The Wollaton branch of the W.I. stitched 100 labels to celebrate the 100 year birthday of the National Federation of Women's Institute. A huge thank you to them and to all the other visitors and many NCN students that participated.
Thank you also to BBCGetCreative for their wonderful call out 'Label of Love'. Along with the Lace Market Gallery, Nottingham Post, Newark Advertiser, The Campaign for Wool, Nottingham Trent University and The Centre for Hidden Histories for publicising the event and the exhibition '30,000 Used Labels' which continues until 13th May monday to friday 10 - 4:00pm.

Lace Market Gallery Preview 23rd April 2015
Lace Market Gallery was buzzing last night, a huge thank you to everyone who came to view the work. The exhibition continues until 13th May monday to friday 10 - 4pm.
Don't forget the BBC Get Creative Workshop this coming Monday 27th April. We will be using 4ply wool, if you have any left over please bring it along.

Artist Joy Pitts turns thousands of unwanted clothing labels into works of art and is inviting 450 participants to stitch a label for inclusion in her next creation. The completed labels will be used for the background of a portrait that will be unveiled later in the year. Joy Pitts, a multiple award-winning contemporary artist is offering this rare opportunity to be involved in her work as part of the BBC Get Creative Campaign. Drop into The Lace Market Gallery for ten minutes to participate and become part of this significant artwork.
